Kiln Launch content
Launch content for a small ceramics brand — a film, product photography direction, social graphics and motion, all cut from one idea.
Inside the work
The content kit.
The storyboard on its timeline, the formats side by side, and the type and colour sheet the brand keeps.
Overview
Kiln is a concept for a fictional ceramics studio launching its first tableware collection online. Everything is made by hand, in small batches, and the launch has to say so without a word of hype. The brief: one idea, carried through every format the launch needs.
The brief
- Problem
- Launch assets made separately look as if they come from different brands.
- Constraint
- A small team, one shoot, and every platform's formats.
- Answer
- One idea and one shot list, cut into a complete content kit.
Launch content often arrives in pieces: a film from one team, photos from another, social graphics made the night before. Each looks fine on its own; together they look like three brands.
Kiln starts from one idea — made slowly — and a single shot list. The launch film follows one piece from wet clay to the table; the product photography repeats its light and angles; the social graphics and motion reuse its type, colour and pace. Every format is planned before anything is filmed.
The result is a content kit, not a folder: a storyboard with timings, every cut in 16:9, 9:16, 1:1 and 4:5, a type and colour sheet the brand can reuse, and a delivery checklist that shows what is done and what comes next.
About this concept
This is a concept build for a fictional client. It shows the process and the standard we bring to client engagements.
Approach
One idea, every format.
Storyboard before the shoot
Every shot is planned for the formats it will be cut into, so vertical and square versions are framed on set, not cropped later.
One look, reused
The film's light, type and colour become the rules for stills, graphics and motion. A post a month later still looks like the launch.
Delivered as a kit
Files are named, versioned and checked against a delivery list, so the brand's team can publish without asking where anything is.
What the kit includes
Everything the launch needs, in one place.
Figures refer to the concept brief.
Film
6cuts of one film
A 60-second launch film, cut down to 30, 15 and 6 seconds and reframed for vertical and square placements.
Formats
Framed for every screen
16:9, 9:16, 1:1 and 4:5 are planned on the storyboard, so every version is composed, not cropped.
Deliverables
40deliverables
Film cuts, product stills, carousel and story graphics and short motion loops — each one on the delivery list.
System
One type and colour sheet
Type, palette and layout rules taken from the film, so the brand's own team can make the next post.
Tooling
- Storyboard
- Shot list
- Cinema camera
- DaVinci Resolve
- After Effects
- Figma
